As for the mountain, I was thinking about the current crisis of soil erosion and its effect of limiting bacteria diversity. When we start to lose the topsoil were most of our bacteria live, we can harm our microbial ecology and diversity. My thought was to show the largest representation of our soil being supported by one of the smallest organisms and its role in keeping its ecosystem healthy.
